The Holy Scriptures

We hold to what Scripture says about itself, that it was given by inspiration of God, 2 Timothy 3:16. Holy men of old spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost, 2 Peter 1:21. We believe that God has divinely inspired every word of Scripture, that is, He gave it. We also believe that down through the ages, beginning with what would be called an original, God has preserved His Word copy to copy, translation to translation. There are no missing pieces, no missing books, no missing words, no missing letters; it is perfect and complete. We also believe that something very special took place about 400 years ago. It was the birth of the King James Bible. There are many corruptions today of the Scripture, but we can say with all assurance that the King James Bible is the preserved Word of God. Everything given in inspiration, its life, its power, its wisdom, its character, and all else was divinely preserved in the King James Bible. We use only the King James Bible for preaching, teaching, and all other facets of ministry.

One True God

We believe the Scripture teaches that there is one true God as revealed in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost, 1 John 5:7. They are distinct in person but without division of nature, essence, or being.

Salvation by Grace through Faith

Salvation is the free gift of God, received only by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, Ephesians 2:8-10.

The Local Church

We believe in a local, visible, New Testament Church. What we mean by local and visible is the clear teaching of Scripture that the New Testament Church is made up of baptized believers regularly gathering for the purpose of worship, preaching, teaching, discipleship, and soul-winning. Each New Testament Church is personally responsible to Christ as their Head. We do not believe the Scripture teaches that the New Testament Church is universal and invisible. If this were true, it would be impossible to fulfill many New Testament teachings.

The Sinful Nature of Man

We believe that all mankind are sinners both by nature and choice, Romans 3:23, 5:12. Man was the direct creation of God, made in His image and likeness; man became a sinful creature and has within himself no possible means of salvation.

The Second Coming of Christ

We believe in both the pre-millennial return of Christ and the pre-tribulation rapture of the church. Meaning that Christ will both come to snatch away the saints (pre-tribulation rapture of the church), and return again at the end of the tribulation to set up His millennial reign(pre-millennial return of Christ). We believe the term “Second Coming of Christ” refers to Revelation 19:11—21.

The Bodily Resurrection of Christ

By this, we mean that the Lord Jesus Christ literally rose from the dead conquering both sin, death, and the grave, 1 Corinthians 15.
