Construction Update – New Church Property
We are thankful to share another encouraging update as work continues on preparing the property for our new church home. Each step brings us closer to seeing this vision become a reality, and we are grateful for the many prayers and support from our church family.
Significant progress has been made with site preparation. The necessary vegetation has now been cleared from the property and has been either burned or chipped as part of preparing the land for construction.
Work has also begun on the two water retention ponds required for the site. These ponds have been roughed in and are starting to take shape as part of the overall development of the property.
We are currently in discussions with the Florida Department of Transportation and others regarding the removal of approximately 40,000 cubic yards of excess sand. This material must be removed to properly level the areas where the church building and parking will be constructed.
Later this week we will be meeting with Duke Energy to arrange temporary power for the construction office and ongoing site work. We also have a meeting scheduled with our contractors to review the upcoming construction schedule and the next phases of the project.
It is exciting to see the progress being made as we prepare this property for what God has in store. We appreciate your continued prayers and encouragement as we move forward together in this important step for our church family.
